Description

BIODAM is indicated as a gingival protector in cases of use of products that offer risks of irritation (for example, whitening agents based on hydrogen peroxide for office use), preventing the contact of the irritant with the gingival tissue. BIODAM is an insulating and protective material, when it is photopolymerized it forms a mechanical barrier of rigid consistency that can replace or complement the rubber sheet to protect the gingiva, or further improve the sealing of the insulation of a cavity preparation or endodontic treatment.

INDICATION

BIODAM is indicated as a gingival protector in cases of bleaching for preventing the contact of the irritating agent with the gingival tissue

Packaging

3 x Applicator nozzles

Direction To Use

STEP 1: Isolate the teeth and gingiva from saliva or other fluids, especially the gingival portion
STEP 2: Apply a thin layer of BIODAM, approximately from 4 to 6 mm of height and from 1 to 1.5 mm of thickness on the gingiva. Cover about 0.5 mm of the enamel, in the cervical region, to prevent the contact with the gingival border and repeat the process in all teeth that requires to be isolated.
Note: Extentions of BIODAM between the teeth gives greater retention of protection.
STEP 3: Light cure for 20 to 30 seconds and continue this procedure until complete applied BIODAM has been light cured.
STEP 4: Verify if the product is adequately light cured and if it offers protection on the all gingival surface needed.
STEP 5: For the removal, detach the material onward with the help of an instrument after completion of the procedure
