Description
Hemocoll is a fibrillar type-I collagen hemostat. These collagen fibres physiologically interact with patient
body’s own clotting mechanism to stop bleeding. The result is a quick cessation of bleeding that is achieved
more rapidly, naturally and effectively.
Hemocoll fibres is intended for the surgical procedures as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding
by ligature or conventional procedures is ineffective or impractical includes: extraction and biopsy sites
Hemocoll is an absorbable sterile fibrillar collagen wound filler for meeting the demands of dental surgery
It is non toxic & non pyrogenic in nature and is constituted using high purity type-1 reconstituted collagen
It can be used in extraction sites & biopsy sites.
Hemocoll fibres is intended for the surgical procedures as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of
bleeding by ligature or conventional procedures is
ineffective or impractical includes:
• Dental Oral Surgery Biopsy Sites.
• Single or Multiple Tooth Extraction especially Second
& Third Molar.
• Exodontia & Oral Surgery.
• Alveoloplasty.
• Gingival Haemorrhage.
• Tooth Impaction.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Hemocoll collagen fibre is derived from a bovine or ovine source and should not be used in patients
with known sensitivity to such material.
