Description

A band that adapts to the surface of the tooth to be restored, reproducing its anatomical contours, replacing the missing wall or walls while the restoration is being performed, thus transforming a composite cavity into a simple cavity for easy restoration.

  • Used to prevent composite from adhering to the adjacent teeth.

  • The matrix bands are used in Class II restorations.

  • Used to support and give form to the restoration during its placement and hardening.

  • When using in the labial surface build-up helps in achieving the desired esthetic anatomic contour.

Directions For Use

  • The occlusal edge of the matrix band must be placed in the retainer with the occlusal edge facing the retainer.
  • In the LRQ & ULQ, the screw side of the retainer is faced the buccal surface of the tooth
  • The flat side of the retainer faces the buccal surface of the tooth.
